Bekhand's Intro to Improv Workshop

Service Description

Inspired by the spirit of Bekhand (“laugh” in Farsi), this workshop is designed for beginners who want to discover the joy of improv. You’ll learn the essential tools to excel in improvisational theatre, build confidence in public speaking, shed self-judgment, and revel in the joy of play. Our sessions offer a supportive and relaxed environment, filled with the same laughter and energy that define the Bekhand shows. Join us and discover how improv — infused with the Bekhand spirit — can empower you to embrace spontaneity, build community, and unleash your full potential, all while having an absolute blast in English & Farsi! Instructor bio: This class will be taught by Bekhand's own Tanaz Roudgar! Tanaz (she/they) is a queer Iranian actor, writer, filmmaker with professional training from Vancouver Film School, SFU and other amazing mentors. Her creations manifest as movement art, poetry, screenwriting, and playwriting. She is based in Vancouver BC, stolen lands of Coast salish peoples. She is commited to build a relationship with and honour and uplift the voices of the lands and coast salish peoples as a direct response to colonialism.
