Service Description

Conservatory is the next level of improv performance. This program is perfect for people who are committed to long form improv and are looking to take their skills to the next level. Improvisers will focus on complex scene work and character development as they continue to deepen their skills and techniques in different styles of long form improv. Fee includes two class shows produced for the conservatory group and a player's pass to all shows produced by Instant Theatre for the term. This class will be taught by Jordan Wesley, instructor, and Sinead Grewcock, Media Director, for Instant Theatre Company. Jordan Wesley (he/him) is an improviser who has been performing and teaching in Vancouver for fifteen years. He began while studying at UBC with UBCimprov, and continued training and performing with Vancouver Theatre Sports League, Instant Theatre Company and Blind Tiger Comedy. He currently performs regularly with Vancouver’s Grad School Improv. Jordan has coached UBCimprov and CIG, as well as directing several shows a year with Grad School Improv. Sinead Grewcock (she/they) is a queer filmmaker living in Vancouver, BC. Sinéad has over a decade of experience in acting, improvisation, writing, directing, and producing for film and stage, and has been awarded numerous grants for their storytelling abilities.
