Service Description

These series of workshops are designed for players who identify with Iranian culture, and introduces players to the fundamentals of improvisational theatre. Players will learn key principles of improv, including listening, collaboration and creation while exploring the Persian culture. Through a variety of exercises and games students will develop their ability to create impromptu scenes and characters for long-form improvisational theatre. Fee includes a player's pass to all shows produced by Instant Theatre for the term. This class will be taught by Del Hajipour, Co-President of Instant Theatre Company. Del Hajipour (she/her) is an experienced instructor with over 15 years of experience in the world of improvisational theatre. An alumni of the University of British Columbia improv club, she has trained and performed with numerous improvisational theatres and groups in Vancouver. Known for her direct and versatile teaching style, Del creates space for students to explore their creativity, take risks, and develop strong individual and group skills. Specializing in long-form improvisational theatre formats, she is dedicated to helping performers of all levels build confidence and embrace the joy of story telling.
